Woodmont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Michael Graham

Director of Music Ministry

Born in 1952, Michael grew up in Lewisburg, TN. He began piano lessons at six and, by seven, “knew which way to turn the book” when he was practicing. Michael played drums in a cover band from eighth grade through his college freshman year, playing frequently in Nashville for dance clubs and proms. He studied computer programming for two years at Columbia State Community College and transferred to Trevecca University, switching his focus to music and majoring in classical organ. After earning a B.S. degree in Music Education from Trevecca, he received a Masters degree in Music Performance from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. He has taught at Trevecca University, Fisk University and Metro Nashville Public Schools. Currently, Michael is Choral Music Director at Nashville School of the Arts, an auditioned public high school. Michael has served Woodmont since 1986 as organist and choirmaster.
