Farrell Mason
Farrell
Mason comes from Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City. She has
a BA from the University of the South, Sewanee, TN, and a Masters of Art Business
from the University of Manchester, Sotheby's Institute, London. She is currently
nearing completion of her Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt Divinity
School and is on track towards ordination. Her ministry became clear after the
tragedy of September 11th in New York City. She provided a voice of hope and
healing to the firemen working at Ground Zero and to the many families that
lost their homes. It is her ongoing commitment to both families and children
suffering from childhood cancer that became a guiding force in her ministry
here in Nashville. She continues to work closely with families at Vanderbilt
Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. Farrell has a special interest
in creation of liturgy and rituals of healing for church services. She also
created and runs a non-profit, The Butterfly Effect, which provides funds for
pediatric cancer research at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
She has raised over $100, 000 for kids with cancer. It is her energy, compassion,
and dedication to pointing people closer to God that guides her ministry at
Woodmont Christian Church!
