Trey
Flowers comes to us from Lindenwood Christian Church, where he has been a member
for the last 12 years. At Lindenwood, Trey was a counselor at Bethany Hills
camps, a volunteer youth sponsor, host of Vacation Bible School, and a member
of the statewide Tennessee Christian Youth Fellowship Cabinet. Starting at a
young age Trey was also the Director of the Lindenwood Life Center Summer Day
Camp, one of Tennessee's largest summer camps. During his 3 years as Director
of the camp, the program grew from 400 campers to over 600 and saw the introduction
of daily devotionals, weekly worship services, and regular prayer breakfasts
featuring prominent spiritual leaders (like Rev. Clay Stauffer). Trey has also
worked on Capitol Hill in the United States Senate and is an avid tennis player
and cyclist. Last summer, he completed the "Journey of Hope" - a 4,200
mile bicycle ride across America which is designed to benefit people with mental
and physical disabilities. Trey individually raised $13,000 in order to participate
in the event, which began in San Francisco, CA and ended 64 days later in Washington,
DC.
Currently Trey is a student at Vanderbilt University, where he is pursuing a Masters in Divinity concurrently with a Masters in Public Policy. Now an alumnus of Texas Christian University, he was an active student there on
