Lent classes

Wednesday nights during Lent

Woodmont’s 2025 Lenten class series begins in March with three different options to choose from!

Clay Stauffer and Jay Hutchens are teaching a class on John Maxwell’s 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership that begins on Wednesday, March 19, at 6:15 p.m. in the boardroom. Many questions will be explored in this Lenten series, including “What is spiritual leadership?  How do we manage fear and anxiety? What are the different levels of leadership?  How can Maxwell’s 21 laws be applied to the church?  Why does spiritual formation matter for Christian leaders?”

This class is geared toward existing church leaders but is open to anyone who wants to grow in these areas. Click here to RSVP so that we can prepare for you! Dinner registration is also available.

Join Hunter Mobley and Vicki Askew for a contemplative Lenten journey as seen through the lens of the Enneagram this Wednesday, March 26, at 6:15 p.m. in Room 200. This series will include both an overview of the Enneagram and a deep dive into how each of the nine types view this season of reflection. Sessions will begin with a contemplative practice that speaks to the heart, mind, and body as we enter into this six-week study.

Rev. Justin Gung is teaching a class called Justified: The Book of Romans for Today this Wednesday, March 26, at 6:15 p.m. in Room 105.  The book of Romans is far too long, intricate, and complex to cover completely in a mere 5-session class. However, this class will endeavor to gain at least a foundational understanding of this towering work of theology and the good news contained therein. Join in, yet be warned! Theologian J.I. Packer writes, “When the message of Romans gets into a person’s heart, there’s no telling what may happen!”

Dinner will be served in Drowota Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and you can RSVP online, over the phone, or via the Sunday morning connection cards in your bulletin. All classes will begin at 6:15 p.m. and run until 7:15 p.m.
