Songwriter Series

Sunday, August 11, at 1:00 p.m. in Carpenter Chapel

We are wrapping up our summer special events with The Bridge with an exciting installment of our Songwriter Series on Sunday, August 11, with Steve Siler!

Steve has written nine #1 hits and 45 top ten songs in addition to three books. He is the founder of Music for the Soul, an organization that has brought healing and inspiration to thousands of people!

Steve Siler will share music in worship at The Bridge on August 11. We will break for lunch, and then come back together for a free songwriting workshop in the chapel from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM where we’ll co-write a song as a group – no experience is needed!

This is the fifth installment of our Songwriter Series, where successful group co-writes with people who have no songwriting experience at all have led to songs that have been sung in worship consistently. Click here to see a lyric video of the first song we wrote together as a congregation.

Songwriting is a wonderful emotional and spiritual outlet, and it’s just plain fun! It’s also a way for our congregation to think through what we want to sing together, and then to enjoy the spiritual synergy of working together to create it.

Just bring yourself, an open heart, a notebook, and a pen. No experience is needed — all we need is your presence!
