Our annual Hanging of the Greens service is Sunday, Dec. 3, at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary, followed by The Tasting party in Drowota Hall. The service marks the beginning of the Advent season and features carols sung by the congregation and the Cherub Choir, Grace Notes, Handbell Choir, Jubilation, and the Chancel Choir. The Tasting Party is a special Christmas tradition at Woodmont where everyone brings a favorite holiday goodie to share with others. Punch and hot cider are provided. Bring your food to either the kitchen or to Drowota Hall before going to the sanctuary.
Take part in a Woodmont tradition Four Christmas Eve services to choose from in our historic sanctuary: 4:00 p.m. The Napkin Nativity Designed for families with young children, our 4:00 p.m. is a short service that features carols, the Christmas Story, and a hands-on interactive experience called “The Napkin Nativity.” 5:00 p.m. Children & Youth Candlelight We're doing something new this year as our 5:00 p.m. is now a candlelight service focused on families who have children in both the elementary and middle/high school age range 6:30 p.m. Candlelight & Communion 10:00 p.m. Candlelight & Communion A longstanding tradition, our evening services tell the story of Christmas through "Lessons & Carols" and conclude with the chimes ringing in Christmas morning as you leave the sanctuary. The two services are nearly identical, so pick whatever time works best for your Christmas Eve plans!
