Our photographer will be set up in the Gathering Hall and all Woodmont individuals and families are invited! "Faith & Civility" series 6:15 PM Wednesdays in September What role should faith play when it comes to public leadership?  How can Christians model civil discourse between people with different political views? Why is there so much dehumanization in today’s politics? Where do we go to find facts and truth? What does it mean to be a “purple church” that brings people together? This September at Woodmont, we will welcome a number of different speakers as a part of this series. We will hear from scholars, journalists, and public servants in both parties. Wednesday, September 7 Dean John Geer from Vanderbilt University– “Midterms & the Current State of American Politics” Wednesday, September 14 Nashville Mayor Jim Cooper Professor Samar Ali – “The Challenge of Unity in a Polarized Culture” Wednesday, September 21 David French – “A Better Way: The Micah Solution for Christians Engaged in Politics” Wednesday, September 28 A dialogue with Governor Bill Lee These questions and more will be explored on Wednesday nights in September beginning September 7 at 6:15 PM in Carpenter Chapel. Dinner will be served beforehand in Drowota Hall.
