This Sunday, Aug 2nd, at 10:30 in the Gathering Hall, we will celebrate the ministry and retirement of Jay Hutchens. Jay let us know a few weeks ago that he wishes to retire from his current position to move into a new phase of life. Jay has worn many hats at Woodmont over the past 4.5 years, working with small groups, discipleship, our capital project, security, leading a Sunday School class, and so much more. He has helped move Woodmont forward in many different ways. He will be missed on our staff. I am grateful for everything......

Ever since my childhood, I have loved America. I have loved celebrating the 4th of July. I have loved parades, watching them, and also marching in them. I have loved fireworks, flyovers, the flag, and our beautiful Capitol in Washington, D.C., with all its monuments. And the more I have traveled the world, the more I love our country and feel so fortunate to live in it. No one is a more loyal, red-blooded, flag-waving, patriotic American than I am. I still get a lump in my throat and chills running up......
